Rainbow 🌈 Ink & Flip Hexagons And Stars ⭐️
Hello & Happy Weekend.
I hope the sun is shining for you today, like it has been here. Just after lunch we took a trip out to meet The Beans who had gone to a car boot sale with grandad. We took them a few more things they didn't have room for in the car, but that they wanted to sell. And they managed to sell the big stuff and earn themselves some pocket money!
As they stayed with their grandad for a well earned meal out, we came home and I took the opportunity to get inky in the studio. Time to ink up Ink & Flip Geometric Hexagon Layering Stencil again.
I've had this rainbow idea in my head for a few days now and today seemed the perfect day to get it out onto a card.
I used my usual Concord & 9th inks in Honeysuckle, Marmalade, Buttercup, Sprout, Oceanside and Blueberry. I started with the central hexagon and worked my way out either side. I love how this design makes stars too!
Once inked I fussy cut the strip of hexagons out and adhered to my card using foam tape. I finished with a sentiment from Simply Said Blocks III and a few Mushroom coloured enamel dots.
I think this design would look really spectacular in metallics or Christmas colours. So you might just see some more of these pop up on socials.
