Hello & Happy Thursday!
Welcome to day 5 and the final introduction of the Uniko 13th Birthday February Release. Today myself and the Uniko Brand Ambassadors are Introducing Spring Botanicals Primrose.
Hopefully you have hopped on over from
HERE where I've introduced the stamp set a little and you will also find the Brand Ambassador links to see all their beautiful cards.
Here is what I have created today.
This is another card that we made at the Uniko 13th Birthday Stamping Retreat. Do you remember the Whitewash Technique?
With going through all the Uniko Releases over the years for the birthday celebrations I came across this technique and thought it would be fun to revisit.
Start off with some kraft card, stamp and heat emboss your image in white. Then use the white pigment ink to add a watercolour whitewash over the whole image.
Then colour your image with watercolours or as I did using my Concord & 9th inks as watercolours. Smoosh your ink onto an acrylic block and spritz with water to make them like water colours.
Once I was happy I heat embossed the Praying For You sentiment in white and added it using foam adhesive.
For my other card today I went for a colourful, but also fairly quick colouring option and a fun spin on colour blocking and using up leftover card.
I started with some 1cm strips of card in Creamsicle, Watermelon and Grasshopper that I trimmed on the slight diagonal. I then adhered them to my card base.
Next I stamped and heat embossed the primrose image in white onto vellum before using glue to secure it over the top of the strips. The sentiment is another from the set which I stamped and adhered using foam tape.
That's all I have today using this set, which wraps up all the introductions for this release. I can't quite believe how quickly this week has gone and tomorrow is release day.
Are you excited to shop? I'd love to know what's top of your list! I'll be back later today with one more YouTube video using today's stamp set.
Until tomorrow, Crafty Hugs
Love the heat embossed primrose on vellum. Also love to see white heat embossing on Kraft card. X
