Stencil Sunday - Mid Century Flower Power
Hello & Happy Sunday,
I'm a little later than I intended with my post today, Sunday's can often run away from me trying to get organised for the week ahead. And today has been one of those days, things taking me longer than planned!
Anyway, enough of my woes. How about this card I managed to make Friday night while our new kitten, Cali was sleeping...
I was inspired to ink up the Stencil - Flower Power #1 with it recently coming back in stock. I had an idea of what I wanted to pair it with, Mid Century Modern Florals. But I needed a colour.
Thanks to seeing some card makers on Instagram I saw the current Color Hues challenge HERE and thought I'd join in. It's been ages since I joined in a challenge of any kind, but I really find them helpful when I'm in need of a layout or colour combo as I did for this.
I started by inking the Flower Power #1 stencil with Aqua Sky. I then rotated the stencil and inked again using Oceanside. I stamped one of my favourite flower combinations from Mid Century Modern Florals in Peacock ink and fussy cut it out before adhering to my card using foam tape. My sentiment choice is from Everyday Sentiments and also stamped in Peacock ink.
I think it looks fun in these shades of aqua against the fresh white card. Are you a fan of aqua?
That's all from me today, I will be back tomorrow with more to share.
Until then, Crafty Hugs

So happy you stumbled upon us again on IG. Your card is so pretty in shades of Aqua and White. The flower does not look fussy cut! Awesome job with the colors at Color Hues and thanks for joining us. Hope you will come back again soon.
That stencil is a stunner! And your fussy cutting of that modern floral is perfection. All in all, a wonderful CAS card! Thanks for sharing with us at Color Hues!
I saw this last weekend but with the wedding and everything I didn’t get to comment. Now that things have settled down I can come and say that this design is you to a tea, clean and crisp and fantastic fussy cutting! At the last show I did with you I lost track of the number of people who asked for the dies, only to be shocked when I told them it was fussy cut!! Thanks for being inspired by the Color Hues colours too. :)
