Introducing... Background Blocks Bauhaus

Happy Wednesday.
Welcome to day 2 of the Uniko August 2025 Release product introductions. Today we have another product with a retro vibe. Although Bauhaus was a design style and movement of it's own, it does fit into the same period of time and work well with the Mid Century Modern style.
So today we get to introduce you to Background Blocks Bauhaus. Perfect for an instant focal image, but this will work wonderfully with any of the Bauhaus inspired and Mid Century Modern products.
And here is what I created for today.
For my first card I started for a classic Bauhaus poster look.
I think this stamp is great for masculine cards, so I chose to colour the block in blues giving and ombre look. I started at the top with my darkest shade and went down to light. I used Copic Markers in B99, B37, B45, B23 and B21. I finished with a sentiment from the popular Bauhaus Blocks stamp set.
For my second card I went rainbow.
I stamped the block on my mat layer on the horizontal and so it overhung the top and bottom. This was easy to do by using my MISTI.
I then stamped the Thank You sentiment from Mid Century Modern Everyday Sentiments and coloured the shapes using a selection of Stampin' Blends in a rainbow of colours. I adhered the panel to my card base using foam tape.
Lastly for today I wanted to pair this new Background Block with the previously released Bauhaus Blocks.
For this I stamped the block off to the side of my card panel, again so it overhung. I then stamped and added one of the Bauhaus Blocks, which I coloured with Stampin' Up! Markers in Crushed Curry, Grapefruit Grove, Mint Macaron and Smokey Slate. I then fussy cut and adhered using foam tape.
I decided to keep the background block uncoloured to make the focal block pop against it. Finally I finished with a sentiment from the Bauhaus Blocks stamp set and adhered the panel to my card base.
That's all I have to share here, there will be a video over on the Uniko YouTube channel later today introducing this fun background block.
Izzy is your next stop on the hop.
