Celebrating 13 Years - Introducing Stencil Layering Bright Butterflies & Re-introducing Bright Butterflies Clear Stamps

Hello & Happy Monday!

Welcome to day 2 of the Uniko 13th Birthday February Release introductions. Today myself and the Uniko Brand Ambassadors are Introducing Stencil Layering Bright Butterflies & Re-introducing Bright Butterflies Clear Stamps.

Hopefully you have hopped on over from HERE, the start of the hop and where I've given a little introduction to today's products.

Let's have a look and see what I've created today, I've a few as I had fun with these!

First up I wanted show how the two butterfly products can be used together and the size difference. It is quite a jump in size, but you will see shortly that even though the stamps are little and cute. The larger stencil version boasts lovely details.

The butterflies are quite easy to fussy cut and here I have just secured down the middle of each butterfly with foam tape for a little dimension and also so that the wings can be lifted for more dimension. My sentiment choice is from Simply Said Blocks III.

Next I wanted to show you the three stencilled butterflies with all three layers used.

Unusually, I went for a DL size card. I started by die cutting three squares from white card and then worked my way inking each of the butterflies and the three layers.

Starting with the lightest shade of ink for the solid butterfly, then a medium shade for the wings and then a third darker shade for the details.

I used Concord & 9th inks in Buttercup, Sunflower & Clementine. Pink Lemonade, Honeysuckle & Poppy. Aqua Sky, Oceanside & Peacock. My sentiment choice is from Simply Said Blocks.

With a rainbow theme starting to emerge I was inspired to ink up the Bright Butterflies Clear Stamps next to create this colourful card.

For this card I started by stamping the sentiment which is from another clear stamp set being introduced this week.

I then stamped each of the shapes of butterfly in a trail across my card. I used Poppy, Clementine, Buttercup, Parsley & Oceanside.

I then stamped each butterfly again onto a separate piece of card in a darker shade of ink, Cranberry, Marmalade, Sunflower, Evergreen and Peacock. I fussy cut each of these out and again adhered using foam tape down the centre of the butterfly.

Lastly for today, I decided to go for a tonal card and paired a stencilled butterfly with Background Builders Flower Power.

Quite unusual for me to do partial stamping of backgrounds like this, I usually like clean straight edges!

I used Peacock card as my base and then simply partially inked the background strip before stamping 3 times to create a base for the butterfly. I used the same Aqua Sky, Oceanside & Peacock colour combo and this time added tiny rhinestones to the details.

I could have gone on to show you more as I have simply had a blast with these two products! But I have saved a couple for release day.

However, I do have a video over on YouTube HERE showing you the stencils in action. Join me for my usual ramblings (or mute me, haha!) as I talk you through the stencils and some of the creative options they hold.

Also be sure to hop along with the Uniko Brand Ambassadors. Izzy is the next on the stop HERE if you are going in order.

That's all for today, but be sure to stop by tomorrow for more product introductions.
