Ink & Flip Inspiration Week - Day 2

Welcome to day 2 of the Uniko Ink & Flip Inspiration Week.

Hopefully you joined us yesterday for an introduction to Ink & Flip Inspiration Week HERE. Today I am joined by the lovely Anita.

You can check out Anita's Ink & Flip Stencil choice and card by clicking her name which will take you to her blog.

Today I chose the Ink & Flip Layering Flower Stencil. The weather has been cold and snowy the last few days, so my brain is thinking flowers and spring! I can't wait to see those pops of cheerful colours bloom.

I started with this card using Poppy and Honeysuckle to ink the flower and after I fussy cut the flower I knew I wanted to split the flower to frame my sentiment.

I automatically thought I would trim along the line where a couple of petals are split in two with the flip concept.

I liked the result after adhering the halves to my card using foam tape, but I was curious to see if it would look better cutting the flower in half not through the line. So I went ahead and made a second card.

This time I swapped out the Poppy for Marmalade. I made the card exactly the same, but halved the flower through a different petal point.

I still can't decide which I like best as apart from the colours they are practically the same!

That's all from me today.

As it's a special week, I thought I would offer all of the Ink & Flip Stencils at 20% off this week. A couple of the stencils that are out of stock are available on back order too.

Thank you for joining me today. Tomorrow we have the lovely Izzy and Julie on the blog to share more inspiration using these fun and creative stencils.
